Easyworld Media |
| Once in a while, when the opportunity presents itself, I try and capture things off the Radio or TV to distribute amongst the needy. These are some examples of what I have collected with regards to Easyworld. If anitem is marked as "offline" it means it's been on here a while and has been removed from the webspace so I can put a bit of extra stuff up. Every so often, I'm aiming for every two months, I'll take down some things and upload others, and if you want to be notified when I do this (or want to ask about the availability of any of the tracks on this page) just drop an e-mail to easysite@jrhunt.co.uk I'm also seriously interested in acquiring sessions I don't already have. If it's not on this page, I don't have it, so please, send me an e-mail. I'm particularly interested in any of the tracks marked "missing" as well as all tracks from Radio2XS Barn Sessions and The Storm Session. | ||

| Again, "available" on the Virgin site only in so much as clicking on the links took you to the wrong songs, a few disgruntled e-mails from the 'board got the links corrected and now I'm hosting the tracks here. This session is to promote the single, "Til the Day", and features "Drive", and album track from "Kill the Last Romantic" which follows shortly after the single. | An October 6Music session, featuring tracks from the new album, Kill the Last Romantic (Out early 2004). There are 3 tracks missing from this session and if anyone can get me a copy I'll gladly host them. I missed the first two, and the audio stream knackered itself in right in the middle of Til the Day, after I'd been recording almost 2 hours of music with no problem! Gah. | |

| Scans from NME (18/01/03) & Company Magazine (Feb 2004 edition) The above links take you to scans relating to the Xmas gig. xmasreview.jpg is a readable copy of Mark Beaumont's review of the gig with a small picture of Dav, and the second is a photo of various boarders onstage submitted to the magazine by Lellie that appeared on the letters page in the same issue. Scans are by Nikki. The third picture is from the NME Gig Guide that came with this issue about the York Fibbers gig, and was scanned for me by Eri. The scan of the article featuring Jo was done by me from Nikki's (innocentbaby) copy of Company Magazine, Feb 2004 edition. | These are from an old, old XFM session. Nicky (both alias and of RenegadeChic), who provided me with the super lucky ultra-rare STNF recording and leaves me forever indebted to him, believes that it's from May 2001 or so, and based on time I downloaded the Better Ways recording (June 2001), I'm inclined to agree. | |

| Junkies Tour Intro (Jan 2003) | Highlights from Reading 2001 Set
(offline) Demons Junkies Hundredweight Better Ways... |
|
| When the band come onstage, they often
have a mix made up of samples to arrive on - this is one of those tracks, from the Junkies
tour. This particular one was recorded by Eri at the Leicester Charlotte following her
successful bootlegging of the gig there in the You & Me tour. Unfortunately, it didn't
turn out quite as well, but this intro track is good quality enough to warrant
distribution. As if anyone's interested, the vocal sample is a reference to Pancho Villa, a Mexican revolutionary shot and killed in 1923 and whose last words were "Don't let it end like this, tell them I said something." |
As donated by Kev (originalversion), 4 MP3s of Easyworld's Reading 2001 set recorded from BBC Radio. Hundredweight and Better Ways I've heard before, but Demons and Junkies from that set have proven hard to come by, so here they are. | |

| Easyworld introduction (offline) | Virgin "The Edge" Session Dec 2002 The Edge Interview Part 1 2 (offline) The Edge Session Bleach (offline) The Edge Session Junkies (offline) |
|
| Shortly before the first play of "Bleach" on the Evening Session, this clip was aired of Dav introducing and explaining Easyworld and some of their history. The quality isn't good, not least because I accidentally saved it as a bad quality wav and lost the original, but it's all entirely listenable, if a bit fuzzy. | While this is technically "available" on the Virgin Radio site (here, if anyone cares to try...) clicking on the links brought up things neither easy nor world, and I had to dig around a lot of source code and piece together some horribly convoluted URLs to get these files, but I'm glad I did, because there's quite a good interview with Dav and Jo. And now, to save you the difficulty of getting the files the hard way, I've mirrored them as MP3s. All pretty small, all, as you'd expect, good. | |

| Beachy Head MP3s (offline) | XFM Session May 2002 XFM Session Bleach (offline) XFM Session Lights Out (offline) XFM Session You & Me (offline) |

| Eri, easyworld-related philanthropist that she is, uploaded the beachy-head MP3s and suggested, such is the nature of my site, that I use the links. I graciously accepted. More info about these recordings can be found on the "Beachy Head Project" page accessible from the sidebar. | This session was recorded in May 2002 and is no longer available on the XFM website. It features acoustic versions of Bleach and Lights Out and a version of the album-type "You & Me". These MP3s were encoded and ripped by me and also feature on Eri's "Gigolos have feelings too" bootleg (Aside from the first batch) alongside MP3s of the second XFM session, which is available here on the XFM site. | |

| Junkies performance on 4Music (offline) | ||
| One of Easyworld's sparsely occurring TV appearances. Aired the same day as the 2002 Xmas gig, this video clip contains 2/3 of Junkies and a most annoying presenter, lasts 3 minutes and will cost you 11.2mb of Hard Drive space. It needs a recentish Windows Media Player to work. Please, "Save Target As..." to get it. | ||
