Easyworld Desktops

Here's the reason I started this page in the first place then...the easyworld desktops. Only 1024x768 versions available at the moment, they'll work for any resolution as long as you've got Windows set to stretch backgrounds instead of tile, though. They're also zipped up so hopefully you won't have a problem with that, but if you do then download Winzip and all should become apparent pretty soon.

Junkies Desktop Junkies "live" Desktop
Disappointingly simple after the slightly more active nature of the previous desktops, but it does at least stick to the format. Any effort saved constructing this desktop, however, was more than made up for...

...by this one. My interpretation of the "Live" CD cover. It's hard to make a grey gradient look even half interesting, so I deviated slightly from the actual cover while retaining the basic look. Hopefully, it works.

By the Sea Desktop Also Coming...
The first in a long line of forthcoming Easyworld Desktops not based on any singles! I plan to do the whole album at least and then possibly some desktops for B-Sides, which will probably follow a new format. Try and guess what the Polaroid's a picture of...

Well, I dunno, whatever album track I can think up a decent idea for. Please, be patient.

You & Me "Me" Desktop You & Me "You" Desktop
I admit it, the "me" apple is stolen off the front of the official site to save time scanning, hence the dubious quality of the apple. Don't hurt me.

Like the previous desktop, this was quite easy to think up but took a long time to put together nicely. For the first time on these I've used a generator to give me the actual barcode instead of scanning one and cleaning them up.

This Is Where I Stand Desktop This Is Where I Stand Desktop [2]
This was quite easy to do, once I got the Polaroid scanned. I did it off a large poster I got free from the Oxford Zodiac Gig on the 23rd May. The Text is slightly dodgy because it's a scaled version off a crap quality small jpeg that I've tried to clean up, but I don't think it's too bad.

I stole /this/ design from the T-Shirts and promotional postcards. I did consider variations on the theme to fit a desktop, such as "This is where I sit" or "This is where I type" but ultimately it's really not funny enough for me to bother ;-)

Try Not To Think Desktop Bleach Desktop
This and the Bleach one were the two I did first. They made themselves really, I just stole the single covers. The Barcode was the hardest part, as a scan made it blurry, so I had to redraw it.

1024x768 Version
Again, this one made itself. At the time I made it, I didn't have a copy of the single or a decent cover image to get the barcode from, so I used a generator to give me an authentic code and then matched it to the TNTT one.

Hundredweight Desktop Better Ways... Desktop
I did this from a heavily modified scan of the original CD cover. I redid the sky because the gradient appeared dubious, but I think it remains authentic. I lengthened the cityscape at the bottom too, so it fit better as a desktop resolution.

1024x768 Version
I am dissatisfied with this desktop, it's boring and dull and I can't think of any way of improving it, so I've put it here in the hope that someone might get some enjoyment out of it, because god knows it's been nothing but pain and strife trying to make it work.

"unofficial" Junkie Desktop "unofficial" Whore Desktop
Difficult to do because while the idea for the "Whore" desktop came to me like a vision from God, I had to then translate that into Junkie. I think it worked quite well. I wonder what the bloke whose arm I traced would think, though... This and the "whore" one are marked "unofficial" because they're not actually made form any Easyworld art, and were created prior to the album release (when official junkies and whores artwork became available)

1024x768 Version
Originally, this was just the word "whore" in the middle, then I decided to stencil it in spraypaint. As I was trying to get a decent look for the stencilling It happened I accidentally drew something that looked like a lipstick kiss, which is where this idea came from.
