  • @marcellerby I loved the film, but I hated literally everything about Pegg’s performance. Would have preferred more McCoy to any Scotty. #

  • iPad write-up sent in! 0-day deadlines are my speciality. Still, give me a week and I’ll still do it at the last moment, so it’s no surprise #
  • Tomorrow: movie reviews. But now, to wind down with an anime about a boy who can see microbes and his adventures fermenting various foods. #
  • @adamcadwell If tax doesn’t have to be taxing, one has to assume it’s a deliberate choice that IT REALLY IS. #

  • People haven’t been this excited over a tablet since Mount Sinai. #
  • @sebpatrick I prefer my one, because the image of Steve Jobs walking on stage with a smile and an erection is a troubling one. #
  • Excuse yet more comic nerdy, but: Beast back in the Avengers = YES FUCKING PLEASE. #
  • @sebpatrick In a way, I’m just glad he’s not Wolverine. #
  • Part of me hopes Steve Jobs announces something that isn’t the tablet. Like the iPod Reverse, or iTV2 (which only shows repeats of Minder) #
  • Steve Jobs (sort of) stole my Sinai joke! Luckily, the joke’s on him, because they decided to call their tablet the iPad. #
  • Adam Buxton’s video response to the Persuasionists reviews is about 50 billion times funnier than the Persuasionists: http://bit.ly/cqs5WK #

  • @TomBrevoort Then you’ll be pleased to learn there’s a superhero-dedicated SFX spin-off magazine called “Comic Heroes” out later this year! #
  • @Wossy A follower picked randomly from 500,000? That’s, like, a one in a million chance :-( #
  • @thatswedishgirl half the reason men get girlfriends is so that they can try out their material before using it in public. #
  • Today I did my taxes. I found out I owe roughly a third of the amount I put aside to pay them. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA etc. #

  • @marcellerby defuse them expertly by replying to each with “mum, is that you?” #
  • @Lodark Tweet that you are going to “send that fucker down the river,” then show it to the defense lawyers. Instant reprieve! #

  • @sebpatrick interesting points, but I don’t really buy his “ooh, can’t do it at my own company” argument. Why can’t he trial the model? #
  • I am not known for my naivety, but discoving how much of Cool Runnings was completely fabricated has shattered my world. #
  • For anyone who missed @nikki ’s tweets: Our roast chicken (bought yesterday) was green inside. Not cool, Tescos: http://twitpic.com/zjy8j #
  • @sebpatrick I just googled it, apparently it’s this: http://www.ansci.wisc.edu/facstaff/Faculty/pages/claus/green1.htm #
  • @sebpatrick apparently the FDA say it’s harmless, if not desirable, but personally I’d shy away from eating necrotised flesh. #

  • Inter-company politics aside, that Siege #3 Deadpool variant is actually pretty funny. #
  • Collins & Herring in the A&J slot is fantastic news. I don’t know where Danny Wallace went, but I hope he doesn’t come back. #
  • Also, I totally caved in and bought Endless Nights at the comic shop. Think this the last Proper Sandman comic left, though… #
  • Oh, and before I forget: the 4th Estate (UK edition) Scott Pilgrims have arrived in FP. The covers look fucking horrendous. #

  • Due to linguistic differences, I’m convinced “The Mentalist” is a TV show about a crazy-eyed thug who beats people with a pipe. #

  • @danielguntrip and you’re putting the super into superintendent. #
  • ATTENTION: Yesterday’s newswipe was reiterating a lot of the points made last series. Is it time for the Charlie Brooker backlash yet? #
  • OH MY GOD I JUST WATCHED SOME OF THE PERSUASIONISTS ON IPLAYER AND 95% OF MY BRAIN SHUT DOWN TO PROTECT ITSELF. #
  • @xerode Dammit, I’m behind the curve! I even thought Gameswipe was pretty good. #
  • The laugh track on The Persuasionists sounds like it was recorded at gunpoint. A pity, because I want to like anything with Dr. Buckles in. #

  • Did Sony choose the new Spider-Man director purely for the pun-potential of his surname? I can’t imagine it’s based on his FILM (singular). #
  • Tonight I am going to a screening of the Kick Ass movie. I suspect it will contrast heavily with last night’s screening of Ponyo. #
  • @catherinebray Ponyo was good (especially since I’m not usually a huge Miyazaki fan!) Was enthused enough to start a review immediately! #
  • @KevinPocock How does it rank against the last couple? Planning to buy my copy today! #
  • @KevinPocock Interesting. I suspect Hombre Lobo was a Shootenanny-style rush release while working on End Times, so I’ll see if that holds. #
  • @KevinPocock Excellent. Hadn’t ever been properly disappointed by an Eels album TBH, so I’m just glad you don’t think it’s a disaster! #
  • @philipspence My UTR was on a letter they sent me, but labelled “TAX ID” or something similar that was definitely not “UTR”. #
