  • Kuuchuu Buranko is probably my favourite psychological deconstruction anime anthology show since Paranoia Agent. You are quite upside down. #

  • Just watched Invention of Lying. It was alright, though I am slightly more forgiving to the “lightly supernatural rom-com” genre than most. #
  • If nothing else, it was better than Yes Man (which wasn’t lightly supernatural, but was basically doing the same thing. And was terrible) #

  • @marcellerby belated thanks for my xmas commission! It’s totally awesome and is now framed in the living room for all to admire. #
  • So, from the reactions I’m seeing, best not to waste my time watching Day of the Triffids, then? #

  • @bohaynowell Of all the Christmas TV I’ve endured this year, that was by far the most horrendous. Literally some of the worst comedy ever. #

  • @danielguntrip I hear it was written by Michael Bay. In crayon. #
  • @SarahDobbs I learnt in a Fiesta and similar-sized vehicles. Once I knew how to start moving, it was fine. No disasters until I passed ;-) #

  • Godless show was brilliant tonight. Getting to see Alan Moore’s explain his theory on why death is impossible was a particular highlight. #
  • @SolAestus I concur. I thought the chavs would win, though I think those cunts will now. Plz no spoilers, though, watching finale tomorrow! #
  • @SolAestus Don’t know the result, but you’re correct. In Dragon’s Den it only takes 8 minutes to decide whether an IDEA is good, not 8 weeks #
  • The power here just very briefly flickered off, twice. Preparing myself for a snow-induced blackout at any moment… #
  • @RellyAB Thanks for the offer, but looking at the programme it’s about 90% identical to the show we saw on Wednesday, so I think we’ll pass! #
  • @thatswedishgirl Excellent. That suggests the entire South East is about to switch off. Time to break out the candles… #
  • Nothing says “Britain” like the infrastructure collapsing as soon as the weather gets more extreme than mild drizzle. #
  • @Nevskyp Nothing specific, but everything seems to be faltering already and it’s only just started snowing! Don’t envy commuters tomorrow. #

  • RIght, I’m going to finish this Captain America review, then I’m going to head into town, get presents, and then it’s time for 9 Lessons. #

  • @marcellerby All the good carols are originally german. O Tannenbaum. Stille Nacht. And of course, Frohe Weihnachten (Krieg ist vorbei) #

  • What sort of country do I live in where 30 Rock S3 isn’t on DVD yet? Is it any wonder piracy is rife? I WANT to buy it, but can’t! #
  • Instead, I’m watching the commentaries to make it until Christmas, when I’ll hopefully get the next Scrubs DVD set. #
  • At the AIOTM finale tonight! Couldn’t enjoy ten (free) episodes of @Herring1967 hilarity without financially supporting it at least once. #
  • AIOTM finale was great. Won’t spoil the details for anyone waiting for the podcast, but there was a fantastic atmosphere in the crowd. #
  • Also, there WILL be a second run, in May! Will definitely be going again. #

  • @McKelvie So, wait, you push disabled pensioners under trains and then kick their grandchildren in the face? I’m amazed you openly admit it. #
