Now Entering 2008
1 01 2008As it turned out, 2007 was fairly eventful, usually for the right reasons, but I’ll do a traditional wrap up soonish (as well as go back and fix the permalinks in the old wrap up entries. Another casualty of the arrival in 2007 of my long-promised site overhaul.)
Still, while I’m here, let me do the also-traditional christmas thingy:
DVDs:
300
Spider-Man 3
Books:
Absolute Sandman, Vol. 2
Apathy and Other Small Victories
Charlie Brooker’s Dawn of the Dumb
Don’t Arm Wrestle a Pirate
an Iain M. Banks novel off Rob that I forget the name of
Bill Bryson’s Shakespeare book.
Other:
Scarf
Various chocolate/toiletries
Dr. Who mug
Consumables for car
Polo neck T-shirt
Cash: About £190
Chocolate Orange Count: 6
Could’ve gone slightly better than it did - Nan was in hospital from Christmas Eve until yesterday - but ultimately it was pretty good. Mum tried to shortcut some aspects of the Roast Potatoes with amusing results, and M&S are the only ones who ultimately benefitted from that, though we did salvage the situation commendably towards the end. And by god, I still had my cold cockeral sandwiches later that day.
And as ever, there’s much I never managed to discuss. Damian’s party, for instance, or going to DMC ‘07 at Bush Hall, which is something of a christmas tradition in itself. Really the biggest impact on my Internet-life this year is that Facebook has challenged the need for a blog at all, I suppose, which is why I started two that were totally unrelated to me, accessible on the sidebar there. I might not be blogging about myself, but I’m always out there writing about some nonsense. And hope to be for the rest of 2008 as well.
