Final Straw

Okay, that’s it. I’ve had enough. Snow Patrol need to be erased from the face of the planet. Burn down their guitars and salt the fucking earth. I remember remarking, a solid fucking year ago, to patrons at Paul and Relly’s christmas party, that the new single “Run” which I had heard on XFM while in traffic on the M25 while driving to Brighton, was actually really good. Apparantly this was obvious to the public at large, because it was then played for months and months solid. Now it’s a year later, people stil play it, and their other less good songs, and even the abysmal “How to be dead” over and over and over. I’m aware of how Radio works. I know it’s moronic that people still play Hey Ya more than REM’s last single (which charted at number 41. Go team.) but seriously, is there that much bribery going on that Snow Patrol can’t be retired at least until they release their next album? Middle of the road uninteresting indie shite. That’s what it is. And fucking Keane. Basically anything they play on XFM. Embrace? EMBRACE for fuck’s sake. Who the hell still cares?! The saddest part is that there’s nothing better to listen to. I listened to Radio 2 earlier because they were playing Michael Jackson and it was refreshing to hear something which actually had some production done on it. AAAAAARGH. RADIO FUCK FUCK KILL HATE BLOOD.

It was the phase they went through where they played the Streets to death that made me leave the radio switched off for a while, and I’ve been listening to XFM for years (it’s the only rock station I can get). The Streets drive me up the wall. I swear the only time worth listening is when they take requests, at least then there’s the chance of some variety.
