2 04 2003How quickly I fall back into old habits. Today I woke up at midday with nothing to do, so I watched Invader Zim for 2 hours and then got dressed, washed, and now I’m back here. The other night, instead of going to sleep, I watched Spider-Man and ended up just getting to the end credits before being overcome by the tiredness. So far I’ve managed to avoid leaving the PC on overnight to download things, but given that the new Angel episode is out tonight and I’ll be avoiding getting it while Rob’s using the connection too, it seems unlikely that trend’s going to continue beyond today.
Instead of sitting on IRC all day, I keep trying to find something to occupy my time with. Obviously, I could get a job, but that seems far too simple a solution at this point. I did my website for a while, but once it’s fully valid and working correctly in various browsers there’s very little I can do. I suppose I should get around to converting the easyworld and bestof pages, but I’m a little sick of websites for now. Perhaps I should channel my energies into creating a new mix tape. Unfortunately, I have no CDs to create masters from, so even if I finshed it I’d be unable to do anything about it.
In my vast amounts of free time, I’ve been listening to Surfer Rosa & Come On Pilgrim. I’m fully convinced now that I need to buy more Pixies albums, so next time I’m in Fopp, that’s what I’ll be after.
I watched an old S2 episode of Buffy yesterday, and I was quite surprised how bad it looks compared to S3 (which we just worked out way through) - I don’t even remember S1 being as bad as it, but it still had some good lines:
“Xander, how do you feel about looking through some of Gile’s personal files?”
“I feel pretty good about it. Does that make me a sociopath?”
Classic.
